Stay Experience: Forest & Wildlife – 2 Nights
Day 1: Kochi → Thekkady (175 km / 5–6 hrs)
Pickup from Kochi Airport, Railway Station, or hotel. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Idukki high ranges with short tea and photo stops, passing spice plantations, rubber estates, elephant rides, and mountain views. Arrive at Thekkady, check in, and relax. In the evening, enjoy optional boating at Periyar Lake and a visit to the Kumily Spice Market. Cultural shows, herbal massages, and Kashmiri shops are also available.
Overnight stay in Thekkady.
Day 2: Thekkady Sightseeing
Morning: Participate in an eco-tourism programme conducted by the Forest Department at Periyar Tiger Reserve. A range of forest and wildlife activities is available, from short guided nature walks to half-day, full-day, and overnight camping experiences. All programmes are led by rehabilitated forest guards—once poachers, now trained protectors—offering a rare opportunity to experience the dense forest and its wildlife up close. If time permits, you may also enjoy activities organised by private operators outside the forest area.

Day 3: Thekkady → Kochi
After breakfast (around 9:00 am), check out and drive back to Kochi (approx. 4 hrs). Optional visits (subject to departure time): Kodanad Elephant Training centre, Marine Drive in Kochi, Lulu Mall in Kochi.
Drop off at Kochi Airport or Railway Station.
