Day 1: Kochi Pickup & Scenic Drive to Munnar (125 km / ~4 hrs)
Meet your personal chauffeur upon arrival at Kochi Airport (COK), Ernakulam Railway Station, or your designated hotel in Kochi. Begin your drive towards the Western Ghats, passing through rubber plantations, spice gardens, and hill towns as the air cools. Stop to admire the cascading Cheeyappara and the lush green surroundings of Valara Waterfalls (both are seasonal).
There are good restaurants and local tea stalls serving fresh meals and refreshments along the way. Feel free to stop for breaks at your convenience.
Enjoy the beauty of the winding hilly route, green valleys, rocky mountains, and captivating landscapes. Arrive in Munnar and check in to your resort or hotel. Spend the rest of the evening relaxing, taking in mountain views, or walking around nearby tea gardens. Overnight: Stay at your resort in Munnar.
Day 2: Full-Day Munnar Hill Station Exploration (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for sightseeing)
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before heading out for sightseeing. Visit Eravikulam National Park (Rajamalai), home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and views of Anamudi Peak. Ride the park bus up the hills for sweeping vistas of rolling tea estates (takes a minimum of 2 hours).
Afterwards, have your lunch at a good restaurant and continue your sightseeing. Visit the Tea Museum, Floriculture Centre, Photo Point, Elephant Riding Park, Mattupetty Dam, Wild Elephant Spot, Sunvalley Boating Point, Echo Point, Pothamedu Viewpoint, and Kundala Dam for a Shikara boat ride. Return to town around 5:00 PM.
The evening is free for optional activities like Kathakali shows, Martial Arts displays, Herbal Massage, and Spice Shopping. Enjoy any interesting activities; otherwise, relax at your resort. Immerse yourself in nature and fresh mountain air. Overnight at your resort in Munnar.
Day 3: Munnar to Thekkady Wildlife & Culture Tour (90 km / ~3 hrs)
Have your breakfast, check out from your resort, and start your journey at about 9:00 AM. Enjoy the scenic drive along the winding, plantation-lined hills. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take a moment to unwind.
In the afternoon, head out to Periyar National Park for a refreshing lake boat safari. Please note that the final boating time slot is at 3:00 PM, so ensure you have bought your tickets in time. As you cruise across the serene waters, admire the surrounding evergreen forests and watch for wild elephants, deer, wild dogs, and diverse birdlife along the banks. The boat ride is a 1.5-hour program conducted by the Forest Department. Afterwards, explore the spice market and Kashmiri shops selling exclusive products, or opt for activities like Kathakali performances, martial arts shows, elephant rides, herbal massages, and spice garden visits (all activities in Thekkady are optional). Overnight at your resort in Thekkady.
Day 4: Thekkady to Alleppey Houseboat Cruise (150 km / ~ 5 hrs)
Be ready early this morning after breakfast to begin your journey to Alleppey. We recommend informing your hotel in advance about your early check-out so they can prepare a packed breakfast if their regular service is not open early enough.
Depart from Munnar by 7:00 AM to ensure you reach Alleppey smoothly by 12:00 PM for check-in.
Upon arrival, step on board your verified, high-quality houseboat to enjoy a refreshing welcome drink as your backwater journey begins. As you cruise through narrow waterways, canals, and open lagoons, admire sweeping views of coconut groves, green and golden paddy fields, and vibrant local birdlife. Observe daily backwater life along the banks—from floating shoppers and fishers to coir workers and toddy tappers.
A freshly prepared, delicious lunch (Vegetarian or Non-Vegetarian) will be cooked directly in the houseboat kitchen and served on board during a relaxing mid-day break. Afterwards, resume your cruise, enjoying afternoon tea and snacks as you take in the gentle evening breeze and scenic backwater sunset.
The houseboat anchors at 5:30 PM in a serene setting. Take this opportunity to step ashore for an evening village walk, experiencing the authentic, peaceful lifestyle of the local backwater communities away from city life. Enjoy a freshly prepared dinner on board and relax for the night. Wake up to the fresh morning air, enjoy breakfast on board, and take in a final morning cruise before checking out at 9:00 AM.
